Jake Sarnoff of Manhattan Beach fires 5-under 65 to take a 5-shot lead into the weekend

PASADENA, Calif. (May 13, 2011) -- Jake Sarnoff of Manhattan Beach reeled off 7 birdies (5 of them on the back nine) at Brookside No. 2 en route to a 5-under 65 and a 5 stroke lead after 36 holes in the Pasadena City Championship. Sarnoff, who plays out of Friendly Hills and is a member of amateurgolf.com, is trailed by Scott Alpi and Patrick Carrigan. Play continues on Saturday and Sunday on Course No. 1 with the field being cut to the top 48 and ties. The "number" fell at 10-over 152.
