BERKELEY, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2010) --Kevin Wentworth of Arnold started the day two strokes back from first round leader Kyle Prolo. He ended the day three shots ahead after firing a 5 under par 65 and tournament total of 136. His steady play which included five birdies was more than enough to get the job done. When asked about his round Kevin said, "the key was a bogie free round."

Kyle Prolo, assistant golf coach at USF, shot an even par 70 today for a tournament total one under par 139. In third place, Ryan Thomas of Alameda carded a 71 for a two day total 142.

In the women's division, Cristina Corpus of San Leandro shot a one over par 71 for a two day total of 144. The senior at San Jose State, who has completed her college golf career, coasted to a fourteen stroke victory with her round which included one birdie and two bogies. Corpus will be joining the pro ranks by the end of the year and will be playing on the Duramed Futures Tour next season.

In second place was Lynne Cowan of Davis. Rachel Sibbitt, a senior on the golf team at Gonzaga, took third.

In the senior division, Jim Williams of Orinda shot rounds of 74 and 75 for a ten stroke margin of victory and his fifth consecutive senior title at the Bay Regional. William's son, Scotty, just won the Ivy League Championship held at Baltrusol Golf Club in April.

Matt Romig of Los Altos, playing in his twelveth amateurgolf.com event, took the net flight shooting a career low round of 74 and a net 66 for a two day total 138. Kevin Smith and Gerald Scott Mravle tied for second with a net of 141.
