Kenneth Cook and Todd Pieri blazed to a 65 on Friday for a comeback victory

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Illinois (June 4, 2010) -- The 7th Annual OFCC National Four-Ball Championship was a huge success. The field consisted of 58 of the best Mid-Amateur and Senior Amateur Teams in the country, coming in from 21 different states. The first round was contested on the North Course, site of the 2003 US Open, and Todd Mitchell and his partner Mike Cushing shot 66 and held a one shot lead over Brad Nurski and Mark Korell who fired 67 on day one. Round two was contested on the South Course which was recently re-designed by Steve Smyers in 2008. The teams of Mitchell and Cushing and Nurski and Korell both came back to the field, each posting best ball totals of 1-over 72. The team of Kenneth Cook and Todd Pieri blazed to a 65 on Friday to come from behind and ease to a 4 shot win over Tom Nolan/Thomas Parker and Scott Rowe/Brian Payne. Cook and Pieri's 68-65=133 total was the second lowest in the tournament's 7 year history. - results submitted by Doug Farrell, PGA
