PALM CITY, FL (May 17, 2010)--The Ocala duo of
David Arnold and Tyler Hock captured the Two-Man
Shoot-Out title winning at Harbour Ridge Yacht and
Country Club in Palm City on May 15-16.
David Arnold and Tyler Hock secured the title in a
four-hole playoff with a tournament total of 12-under
par 204. In the first round of modified alternate shot
on the Golden Marsh Course, the pair posted a five-
under par 67. Playing a scramble on the par 72 River
Ridge Course in the second round, Arnold and Hock
recorded a solid seven-under par 65 to have a two
stroke lead heading into the final round. After a final
round even par round of 72 Arnold and Hock were tied
with the Defending Champions Bobby Bird and William
Mallon and the team of Thomas Midtgaard and Pete
Williams. The three teams competed in a three hole
aggregate play off to determine the champion
consisting of the three forms of play, modified
alternate shot, scramble and four-ball. After the three
holes Arnold and Hock were tied with Bird and Mallon
to force a sudden death playoff. Arnold and Hock
made a par on the first hole to capture the
Championship. This is the first title for the duo from
Ocala.
The Defending Champions from Vero Beach, Bobby
Bird and Tyler Hock, finished tied for second place with
a tournament total of 204 with rounds of 71-63-70.
The team of Thomas Midtgaard, of Fort Myers, and
Pete Williams, of Juno Beach also finished in second
place with rounds of 71-65-68. The shot of the
tournament went to Scott Montiegel, of Ocoee with a
hole-in-one on the par 3 eight hole on the Golden
Marsh course in the first round.
The field of 42 teams played three competitive rounds
consisting of modified alternate shot, two-man
scramble and the final 18 holes of four-ball.

ABOUT THE Florida Two-Man Shootout
The Two-Man Shoot-Out is a unique Championship
combining modified alternate shot, two-man
scramble and four-ball formats. Each round is
considered a separate competition with prizes being
awarded for each, as well as an overall winner for
the Championship.
Open to male amateur golfers. One entrant must be
at least 16 years of age as of the first day of the
Championship, and both entrants must be FSGA
members.
