BANDON DUNES, Oregon (May 2, 2010) -- The ninth annual Two Man Links Championship got underway today at Pacific Dunes, one of the three highly acclaimed courses at the highly acclaimed coastal resort that has become a household name among golfing families.

In the Championship Division, Steve White of Wyoming and his brother Andy of Maryland fashioned a 4-under 67 to lead Pete Wlodkowski of Carlsbad, CA and Pete Davison of West Hartford, CT by 4 strokes. Another three teams shot 1-over 72 as light winds and one or two really good pins put the team bogey in play on several holes.

Don and Jim Ireland paced Senior Division players with a 2-under 69 -- they are pursued by defending champions Sherman Haggerty and Ben Whipple, and past champions Stephen Friend and Ken Knott who posted 71.

The final team of brothers, Mike and Steve Suttman of Colorado, posted 6-under 65 to lead the Net Division by 2 strokes over Dan McDonagh and Doug Thompson of Canada and former champions George Stevens, Jr. (Washington, D.C.) and his son Michael (Studio City, CA)

Monday's second round is at Bandon Trails.
