This past weekend marked the Champions Tour debut of Jeff Maggert, and the three-time PGA Tour winner joined the senior circuit in style, trusting his Pro V1x golf ball to fire three consecutive rounds in the 60s en route to winning the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.
Maggert was joined in this week's winners’ circle by fellow Pro V1x players Carlos Ortiz and Marcelo Rozo. Ortiz fired a final round 64 to charge to his first career Web.com victory at the Panama Claro Championship, while Rozo holed a dramatic 13-footer for eagle on the second hole of a playoff to claim his second LatinoAmerica Tour title at the TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic
Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic with 54 players in the field of 81 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, six times more than the nearest competitor with 9.
Maggert, who turned 50 years old in February, became the 17th player in Champions Tour history to win in his debut in capturing the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic title. He was the only player to fire three consecutive rounds in the 60’s (68-69-68) en route to an 11-under par, 205 victory total.
Maggert rolled in a 50-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole of the final round that vaulted him into the lead and led to his first victory since the 2006 St. Jude Classic on the PGA TOUR.
“Everything just kind of came together," Maggert said after the win. "It was one of the best tournaments, as far as ball striking, that I've had in a few years in any event. That really carried me through."
Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas (Pro V1, 913D2 driver, 913F fairway metal, 910H hybrid, 909H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron putter) and early season Schwab Cup leader Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) tied for third place, three shots behind Maggert.

WEB.COM TOUR: Panama Claro Championship
Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Panama Claro Championship with 95 players in the field of 144 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than five times the nearest competitor with 18.
Ortiz, a 2013 graduate of the University of North Texas, teed off on Sunday one shot behind the leader. With his final round 6-under par 64, the 22-year-old rookie finished with a 12-under 268, good for a four-shot margin of victory.
Coupled with his third-place finish at the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship to begin the season, Ortiz now moves to No. 2 on the Web.com Tour money list and is sitting in prime position to earn a spot among the top-25 on the money list. The top-25 finishers at the end of the 21-event regular season will earn their cards for the 2015 PGA TOUR season.
“That’s always been a lifetime dream for me,” he said, regarding graduation to the PGA TOUR. “It’s what we all work so hard for.”
Ortiz topped a leaderboard that featured eight Titleist golf ball loyalists among the top 10 finishers, including runner-up Jason Gore, as well as Titleist Brand Ambassador Aron Price, who tied for third with fellow Pro V1x loyalists Daniel Berger and Derek Fathauer.

LATINOAMERICA TOUR: TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open
Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open with 115 players in the field of 144 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 13.
After a final round 2-under 69 at Las Lomas Club de Golf in Guadalajara, Mexico, Rozo found himself tied with seven other players at 17-under 267.
On the second playoff hole, the Colombian holed a 13-footer for eagle to capture his second LatinoAmerica Tour title.
Rozo’s first victory came at last year’s Argentine Open.
