Phoenix City: O'Donnell holds early lead
PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 14, 2014) -- Sean O'Donnell fired a 67 at Encanto Golf Club and leads by a shot after the first round of play at the 2014 Phoenix City Amateur.
O'Donnell is a shot up on a trio of talented players tied for second place.
Scott Blair, Cy Whitney and John Wommer III are all tied for second place entering Saturday's Round 2 at Maryvale.
Brett Sovey shot 71 to lead the First Flight (Handicaps 1-3). Jerry Alvidrez is atop the 4-6 handicap Second Flight after a red-hot 70 and Michael Norde leads the Third Flight after a 76.
