PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Heavy mid-afternoon rains at Sawgrass Country Club forced a near three-hour delay and sent opening round play of The Hayt Collegiate Invitational into Monday morning.

Competition resumed at 4 p.m. but were suspended for the day due to darkness at 6:05 p.m. All 15 teams in the field completed at least five holes with most teams having made the turn before play was suspended for the day.
