CARLSBAD, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2014) -- Playing with the new Big Bertha Alpha Driver, an SR 3 Golf Ball and a red hot Odyssey Metal-X Milled #6 Putter in his bag, Patrick Reed set the 54-hole scoring record in relation to par (at 27-under) on his way to a spectacular wire-to-wire win at the Humana Challenge.

Here’s the rundown on Patrick’s Callaway equipment in a week highlighted by his incredible 63-63-63 stretch over the first three rounds, which led to his second PGA Tour win in the last six months:

Big Bertha Alpha Driver (9°) – Fujikura Fuel 85x ShaftBig Bertha Fairway Wood (16°) – Mitsubishi Ahina 80x ShaftX Forged ’13 Irons (3-4)RAZR X Muscleback Irons (5-PW)Mack Daddy 2 Wedges (50°, 56°, 60°)Odyssey Metal-X Milled #6 PutterAn SR 3 Golf Ball

* His driver has 9.5° of actual loft, 44 1/4” length, with 1” total tipping, and it’s set in the Neutral directional bias. It’s also built with the Gravity Core up (towards the crown). Reed averaged 305.8 yards per drive and hit nearly 70% of fairways through the first three rounds.

*He played a new 16° Big Bertha Fairway Wood for the first time this week, set to a Neutral bias and a Standard Adjustability.

* He was fourth in the field in Putts Per GIR (1.544). Odyssey Tour Rep Johnny Thompson says that Reed took an immediate liking to the Metal-X Milled #6 Putter, which he first put in play at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

“This was a seamless transition. It was matched to his (previous putter) specs and he received it before the Hyundai Tournament of Champions…he put it into play there and never had an issue.” – Johnny Thompson, Odyssey Tour Rep

Patrick appeared to have a lot of confidence and huge goals for the season when he sat down for a Callaway Talks at our 2014 Ad Shoot. During the interview, he said, “We’ve only won one event. We’ve got a lot more events to win to catch up to…all the great players in the world, so we’re going to put the pedal down and keep going.”
