MEMPHIS, Tenn. (December 2, 2013) — In an impressive come-from-behind victory, the Australian Open champion
edged out the local favorite to take the 2013 title.
With Project X shafts in his irons, the Australian Open champion eagled the 7th hole and birdied the 8th hole to close
a four shot lead in the final round. He rolled in a 12-foot birdie putt with a True Temper shaft on 18 for the win.
“The Australian Open was a great showdown between two of the best players in the game today,” said Scott
Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “The tournament really came down to iron play with both the
winner and the runner up playing irons from the tee on the last hole. The proven precision of Project X set the
Australian Open champ up for the birdie and the win.”
On the European Tour, the winner of the Alfred Dunhill Championship won the tournament with Dynamic Gold in his
irons and wedges.
