Montez maintains lead at Monterey Open
MONTEREY, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2013) -- Matt Montez shot a second-round 69 and leads by one shot at the 2013 Monterey Open.
The first-round leader after a 65, Montez is one shot up on Michael McCabe and Mark Hubbard.
McCabe shot a red-hot 63 on Tuesday to move into second place after shooting just 72 in Round 1.
Former winner Brandon Harkins is two shots back.
ABOUT THE Monterey Open
Professionals and amateurs are entered
into a 3-day, 54-hole, stroke play competition.
The
field
will be cut to the top 40 players and ties
for the
final 18 holes. All professional and
amateur
players are able to enter the open/scratch
flight.
Amateurs must have a valid USGA
Handicap index
of 2.4 or below.
