Calif. State Open: Lee, Hwang in the hunt
BEAUMONT, Calif. (July 17, 2013) -- Amateurs Kevin Lee and Jay Hwang are tied for eighth place at 9-under par at the California State Open entering the fourth and final round.
Both players have mirrored each other since the start and that continued in the third round Wednesday as both shot 68.
They trail leader Drew Scott by five shots.
ABOUT THE California State Open
The Championship will be a 72-hole stroke play
tournament contested over four days. Following the
conclusion of 36-holes, the field will be cut to the Top
60 players and ties. Championship is open to both
Professionals and Amateurs. Amateurs must carry an
index of 2.4 or below at the time of entry. Pre-
qualifying required for non-exempt players.
